you couldn't have picked a better engine. simple design, proven reliability, cheap parts, virtually endless performance upgrades. haven't driven the new corvettes yet, but nothing else with that engine in it handles like a Z does. that nice weight reduction should make quite a difference as well. Exactly what did you do to the cross member? Did you replace it completely or did you just brace it up? I would think the lateral twist from the LS1 would be more that the stock engine, probably not enough to make a difference. Did you have to fab custom motor mounts? or did you swap them from something else? One again, props on the install.
